Missions
We are hiring a Technical Writer Intern who will work with our R&D and Product teams to write high-quality developer and user documentation. Join us at an exciting time as we work to transform our documentation portals into a unified best-in-class solution for all experimenters.
Key responsibilities :
- Research and document new features and concepts.
- Manage content in a docs-as-code model.
- Master our style guide.
- Help team members contribute to the docs through editing and tools support.
- Perform content analysis to drive improvements to our information architecture.
The internship will run up to six months, with the possibility of a full-time role at its conclusion. This is a full remote position from Canada or on-site in our Toronto office.
Profile
- Currently pursuing a degree in English, Computer Science, Mathematics, Journalism, or similar.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience writing highly technical documentation.
Please include links or PDFs to some writing samples (don’t have to be technical!) and a brief description of your role as well as other contributors’ roles in writing the samples (if relevant).
For bonus points, the following skills and experience are not strictly required, but are helpful: - Familiarity with common software documentation tools (Git or other version-control tools, static-site generators, CCMS systems)
- Some knowledge of web technologies like Markdown, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with Docusaurus, Jekyll, Hugo, or similar documentation frameworks.
- Experience with statistics, A/B testing, feature flagging, and/or experimentation.
- Experience writing for developers (API reference materials, SDKs, developer guides).
- Programming skills. Particularly, web and mobile development.
- Graphic design or video editing skills.
